How it works
How a Painting Project Works
Four Steps, No Surprises.
The same sequence on every job, from a single room to a three-decker exterior.
How it works, answered
A painting project runs in four steps: you request an estimate; the painter does a walkthrough and sends a written, itemized quote; the crew protects, preps and paints with two finish coats; and you do a final walkthrough before clean-up. Rot and extra work are always priced and approved before they are done.
The steps
What happens at each step?
01 Request an estimate
Use the form, call, or text photos. Share the town, the project, the year the home was built and your timeline.
02 Walkthrough & written quote
The painter looks at every surface, checks for rot, peeling and lead-safe needs, and sends a written, itemized estimate with colors, products and a schedule window.
03 Prep & paint
Everything is protected. Surfaces are washed, scraped, sanded, patched, caulked and primed, with lead-safe methods where required. Then two finish coats.
04 Walkthrough & clean-up
You walk the job with the painter, touch-ups are finished, the site is cleaned and furniture goes back.
